Balance After a Fall

If you’ve ever taken a fall, you’ve likely experienced fear, pain, and possibly injury. From that experience, you may feel anxiety about falling again. It’s time to break the cycle and get your balance (and confidence!) back. Our physical therapist is well-trained to challenge your balance on various surfaces, in different positions, and with different activities while maintaining your safety. Fall recovery (standing up after a fall) is an essential skill that you will learn as well.

Fall Prevention

Maybe you’ve seen a parent or friend fall, or maybe you’ve had a couple of close calls yourself. Whatever the reason, you know falling can be scary and dangerous, and you want to prevent it from happening. Our physical therapist will teach you strategies to maintain your balance during your daily activities. This may involve strengthening your muscles, increasing your lower extremity mobility, and utilizing your core strength. With commitment to your plan of care, you’ll be balancing without fear.

High-Level Balance

A concussion or vestibular disorder (often causing dizziness) can impact balance, even in the most elite athletes. Our physical therapist will customize a plan to increase your balance and coordination within safe parameters. Whether you want to get back to playing on a team, holding your Warrior One pose in yoga, or feeling confident using a step stool to change reach your closet’s top shelf, we’ve got a game plan for you.
